About me

Hi, I’m Teja Kodre — a fashion designer, entrepreneur, and founder of Karmina Collection.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to start my own company. My love for fashion design began at my grandmother Karmela’s house, where I first learned to sew and developed a passion for craftsmanship.

After graduating in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering in 2006, I immediately immersed myself in the industry. I worked as a merchandiser during the day and as a graphic designer by night. In addition, I spent my evenings sewing and creating my first small clothing line. Balancing full-time work with after-hours sewing taught me perseverance and shaped my vision for the future.

However, exhaustion crept in. Although I worked hard for a decade, I realized that I could not continue living a life that left me unfulfilled. I even wrote my resignation letter — but fear made me carry it around in my bag for nearly a year.

A Journey Toward Change

In the summer of 2018, my husband and I traveled to Indonesia. This experience became a turning point. After returning home, I finally gathered the courage to hand in my resignation and step away from a path that no longer served me.

Shortly afterward, I found out I was pregnant. Becoming a parent changed everything. Although life grew busier and more complicated, it also became richer, more meaningful, and filled with purpose. Most importantly, I chose to follow my own way, building a future on my terms.

How Karmina Collection Was Born

Instead of trying to manage everything at once, I decided to simplify my life. Rather than adding more tasks and responsibilities, I focused on removing what no longer mattered. Through these subtle but intentional changes, I created space for new ideas and fresh inspiration.

Karmina Collection represents this shift — a responsible, thoughtful approach to fashion.
My brand creates timeless, sustainable essentials designed for a minimal capsule wardrobe. As a result, each piece helps you get dressed with ease and confidence, no matter the season.

Handmade With Love and Intention

Every Karmina garment is handmade with care in my small workshop in Branik — mostly by my own hands.
I craft each item with joy, pride, and deep respect for the art of clothing-making. Consequently, these values flow into every fiber of the garments.

Consider that every centimeter of fabric passes through my fingers with purpose. Because each piece is made individually, no two garments are exactly alike — making every Karmina item truly one-of-a-kind.

Living the Dream

Launching Karmina Collection has been a wild, joyful adventure. Focusing on a brand I love has pushed me to keep experimenting, learning, and growing.

Today, I am proud to say: I live the dream I once only imagined. I am a fashion designer, and Karmina Collection is my way of sharing that dream with the world.
